Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) | The MICU is a 16-bed multidisciplinary unit offering an excellent nurse to patient ratio of 2:1 or 1:1, so you can truly make an impact on individuals. Our team uses advanced technologies such as Swan-Ganz monitoring, CVVH/D, IABP (Intra Aortic Balloon Pumping) and Nitric Oxide to treat: - Acute coronary syndrome, MI, R/O MI, unstable angina
- Cardiomyopathy patients
- Acute respiratory distress syndrome
- Multi-system organ failure
- Multi-drug overdose/toxicology patients
- Neurology patients
- Nephrology patients

Training You’ll participate in a 6-8 week orientation with a consistent preceptor. | Desired Candidates At least one year of ICU experience or 2 years related experience is necessary. A previous Critical Care Course is helpful but not required. ALCS is required within 3 months of hire. CCRN certification is encouraged. |

Medical Intermediate Intensive Care Unit (MIMCU) | The MIMCU is a fourteen-bed aggressive step down unit employing such advanced technologies as VAD's (Ventricular Assist Device) and ventilators and offers an excellent ratio of 3:1. The patient population includes the following: - Acute coronary syndrome, MI, unstable angina
- Cardiomyopathy patients
- Ventilator dependent patients
- Pre/post heart transplantation
- Nephrology patients
- Hematology/Oncology
- Gastroenterology
| Training Orientation is six to eight weeks in length with a consistent preceptor. A cross-training program to the Medical ICU is available. | Desired Candidates Minimum of one year telemetry experience preferred.
