CRNA Sponsorship Programs | Purpose This program provides a means for registered nurses to broaden their academic knowledge and to increase their potential for growth by continuing their education in Nurse Anesthesia with the intent of becoming a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA). PSHMC will provide up to $40,000 towards program tuition, books, and required school expenses. In return, upon successful completion of the program, the nurse will begin full-time employment with PSHMC as a CRNA for a period of 36 consecutive months. | Eligibility This program applies to all registered nurses who have completed at least one year of employment as a registered nurse and have been accepted into a program of Nurse Anesthesia, accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs/Schools. | Program Administration Human Resources administers the program. This includes:
- Receiving, recording, verifying and processing all necessary information for consideration of the employee's application.
- Obtaining administrative approval.
- Notifying the applicant of acceptance or rejection.
- Maintaining accurate employee files evidencing academic achievement.
- Track expenses.
- Submits vouchers for payment.
- Expenses covered by this policy include tuition, books and required school expenses.
